Effects of acute inflammation on platelet indices: An experimental study

Background and objective: It is well known that inflammation may affect the platelets. However, there are inconsistencies between results of observational studies investigating changes in platelet indices inflammatory conditions. This study aimed to investigate possible effects acute on plantar model rats. Methods: A total 10 rats, 5 each group, were used study. Lambda-carrageenan saline applied subcutaneously right hind paw rats group control respectively. Six hours after administration, blood samples taken from femoral arteries veins, measured by a hematology analyzer. In addition, tissue belonging groups evaluated histopathologically. Results: On histopathological examination, no pathological condition was observed while consistent with lambda-carrageenan-injected group. There significant difference terms both arterial vein groups. Conclusions: Our suggest cannot be diagnosis our opinion, these findings must not interpreted as does number volume. Instead, we believe it more appropriate say produce quantitatively change due combination opposite effects.
